Dermal fillers can be used on the following areas of the face: around the eyes (tear troughs), cheeks, around the mouth, lips, jawline, nose and chin.

Dermal fillers will provide an instant result. However, the outcome will continue to develop over the 2 weeks that follow as the hyaluronic acid will continue to attract water for this time.

The application of dermal fillers can be mildly uncomfortable but is generally well tolerated by most patients as most fillers often contain a local anaesthetic. However, if the patient feels it would be beneficial, a topical numbing cream can be applied ahead of the treatment.

The longevity of dermal fillers may vary from patient to patient, depending on their individual response to the product. The dermal fillers we use are designed to be temporary and will dissolve gradually over time. Typically, at our Hampshire Clinic, a patient can expect the results to last between 9 and 12 months.
